On May 15, 2009, The Craneway Pavilion played host to the Head Royce High School Prom.
The prom was many weeks in the making, with members of the Junior Class in charge of producing the gala. School drama teacher Andy Spear, assisted the team with their planning and production.
One obstacle to overcome was to produce such a formal event with limited budget but Andy Isola, an owner of LumaTech Lighting, personally assisted in helping the team beautifully light not just the inside of the Craneway, but the outside entrance to the Craneway as well.
Formal tables were set with three chocolate fountains as centerpieces, surrounded by beautiful floral arrangements supplied by Sandi Goldsmith Floral Design.
Conversation areas with furniture by BluePrint Design Studios were set along the Craneway’s windows, offering a beautiful view of the bay and San Fran/Oakland skyline.
A DJ supplied the night’s music as the formally attired students danced the night away.
High heels gave way to bare feet early in the evening as the music kicked in. The beautiful, shiny floors of the Craneway cast reflections as if dancing on ice. The dance floor remained filled until houselights signaled the close of the 2009 Head Royce High School Prom. A night they are sure to remember.
